Blog Requirements and Rules
1. You are required to register the correct URL where your blog is located (including sub-domains or directories). If your blog is located on http://www.domain.com/blog/, for instance, we will not accept http://www.domain.com as a valid URL. If you submitted the wrong URL upon registration just file a support ticket and we will fix it.
2. Your blog must be at least 3-months-old, and must be cached/indexed in the major search engines including Google.
3. Your blog must contain at least 10 posts of real content in order to be approved.
4. Your blog must have, and maintain, at least a 2:1 ratio of non-paid to paid content. The ratio is calculated on a monthly average.
5. Having more then one blog on a domain is not permitted. For example, if you have a domain http://www.domain.com which has a blog located at http://www.mydomain.com/blog, you cannot have another blog in our system located at www.domain.com/blog2 .
6. If you are using a free hosted blogging platform (e.g., Blogger or Wordpress.com) you are allowed have more than one blog, as long as the content is different. This goes for any free blog host that provides sub-domains (e.g., http://subdomain.blogspot.com). This exception does not cover free hosting platforms that use directories ( http://www.domain.com/directory/). In this case the one blog per domain rule shall apply.
7. You are not allowed to display review prices on your blog (either direct reviews or via third party networks) that are more than 25% lower than the prices you have listed on our system. This rule needed is to avoid people lurking advertisers.
8. We reserve the right to reject blogs that contain too much visual clutter. You are free to use ads, banners and badges, but if they overwhelm the content itself we might suspend your blog (this refers to extreme cases, most blogs are not affected by this rule).
Review Level Rules
1. Reviews must be archived permanently like the other posts on your blog. You are not allowed to remove them. In addition your blog must have links to your archived posts on the homepage. This can be in the form of a category list or a calendar which links to pages that then link to your past posts. All links and text must remain unchanged. If we find out that you are removing reviews or links your account will be suspended and we may withhold future earnings.
2. All Reviews must be honest and professional. We will not accept reviews where the blogger has lied or made up stories about a product. Advertisers do not expect dishonest reviews and neither do we. If you find an advertiser asking you to be dishonest please report it to Support.
3. All reviews must be written in English, unless otherwise specified by the advertisers. Your posts must be spell checked and not contain an excessive amount of grammar errors. You are allowed to include some text in another language, in order to best serve your audience, but the majority of the review must be in English.
4. The review must be focused on the advertiser or its products. You are free to include other relevant information, but you can not include the review inside a generic post on your blog. In addition, you must only link to the advertisers site, unless otherwise requested
5. All reviews must appear on the Homepage of your blog and the date must be the same as the day you submit the completed review URL to us. The review must remain on the homepage for at least 24 hours. If you use post excerpts on the Homepage, at least 50 words and one link to the advertiser must appear in the excerpt.
6. You are not allowed to use a no-follow tag on the links to the advertisers, unless requested by the advertiser.
7. You are not allowed to advertise your own paid post or review service inside of a review written for sponsoredreviews.com
8. All reviews must contain unique content. You are not allowed to copy a review from another site or to use public domain or copyrighted material on your review.
9. Rude, insulting, or hateful comments will not be tolerated. You can offer constructive criticism, but your views must be presented in a polite and clean fashion.
10. Reviews must not be orphaned on your site. In other words there must be links to the review via an archive page etc.. If the review can not be reached via links on your site it is not valid.
11. Reviews cannot contain in-text advertising (e.g., Kontera) or sponsored links other than those of the advertiser, unless otherwise specified by the advertiser. Advertisers do not want to see links competing for clicks on the review that they are paying for.
MarketPlace and Bidding Rules
1. Read carefully the opportunity requirements before placing a bid. Some advertisers require a minimum Pagerank, for instance. Bloggers that are found bidding for opportunities that they do not qualify for might get their accounts suspended.
2. Pay attention to the minimum number of words required and the review type. Completed reviews that do not meet these guidelines will not be accepted.
3. If you have multiple blogs you can bid on opportunities with as many blogs as you like, just remember that each review must be unique and not duplicated.
